Review:Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack #1) by Suzanne Wright

Taryn a pack healer for her fathers pack  is latent who mother is dead and father is a mean guy.

His looking to strengthen his alliances so he trades her of like use tissue to a very sick guy (Roscoe) that wants to bend her alpha personality into submission and claim her unwillingly.

Throughout this book I could not help but hate her father but I guess that is to be expected for how he treats his daughter but he kinds of redeems himself in the end when her realize that he seriously underestimated his latent daughter.

Book starts of with Taryn waking up in a strange cave after remembering going to a internet cafe. I liked the description of the cave home that Suzanne Wright described. I imagine that it would have been extraordinary to see such a thing inside of a mountain. The extravagant place is the home of the fierce Alpha of the Phoenix Pack Trey Coleman who was banished from his old pack at the age of 14 after defeating his father. Some of the pack members left with him including his mother and started the pack. Honestly, I think that jerk fathers was the running theme of this book and family members who are spineless!

But what really caught me with this book was the neverending banter between Greta, Trey's grandmother and Taryn. You cannot help but laugh at the "hussy" situation and when Taryn uncle came with Nick the Alpha of Taryn's uncle pack. She wanted the uncle to get maul by Trey. Especially when Nick though she was just a sweet old lady.

I have to say that I figured that Selma and Brock's nephew wasn't the one doing all of those things against Taryn. It would have been to obvious to have us casting suspicion on the bad guys for it to turn out to be the bad guys. I had Brock pegged the whole way!

I thought this scene was cute where they all accepted her and kept a eye on her so her friends could really see she was accepted.

"It was laughable the way the males were hanging around trying to look as though they weren't in fact there to keep an eye on her and ensure she wasn't kidnapped. Like that would ever happen. Marcus and Trick were lazing in the lake as if it wasn't a chilly day, Tao sat against a nearby tree reading a book that was upside down, and Dante and Ryan were cleaning a barbecue that was already spick and span. All were occasionally sneaking covert looks at Taryn and her friends, or at least they thought they were being subtle anyway."

My one big down fall with this book was how Trey withdrew so quickly from her and then after he felt her do the same thing to her he wants her to forgive him so easily. At least give her some time Trey! Also, Roscoe got dispatched of quickly in this book at least the confrontation could have been built up better and probably have more than one battle with him instead of him just showing up, they fight, he gets gutted and then dead. Maybe he could have kidnapped her or atleast something???

All in all a absolutely not short but light read to have anyway. On Goodreads I gave this book 3.9 out of 5 stars.

Anyway guys what did you thing of the book?

Anyone on Goodreads can add me: Shirley Temple
